How to Prevent Weak, Splitting Nails

The underlying issue of brittle, weak nails is lack of moisture. Keeping your nails & hands hydrated helps to prevent splitting.

Why are your nails splitting or weak?

1. You don’t apply cuticle oil on a daily!

LT Tip: Use a drop of Nourishing Cuticle Oil in the AM or PM on a daily as part of your skincare routine.

2. You don’t wear gloves when washing dishes

LT Tip: Wear gloves. If that’s really not an option for you, after washing dishes with bare hands, opt for a restoring nail cream like Londontown’s Restorative Nail Cream to add moisture to nails that have been depleted of their natural oil.

3. You’re using an acetone remover to remove polish

LT Tip: Acetone is a harsh, drying chemical that damages nails. When removing polish, opt for a non-acetone remover like Londontown’s Strengthening Lacquer Remover to protect against stripping the nail of essential nutrients while strengthening the nail.
